ABOUT
René Oswald
René is a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practitioner of Health through Diet, Nutrition, and Exercise from the Creative Health Institute. René loves helping people simplify their journey to health in a fun and easy way. Working as a Nurse for many years, she suddenly found herself with a rare, incurable auto-immune disease called Mastocytosis. When she realized there was nothing the medical world could do to help her, except for prescribing numerous medications to help relieve the symptoms, and in the process causing more symptoms, she started searching for a better path. Her journey to wellness has taken her across the US, from California to Florida. At the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego, René first witnessed how wholesome, natural, organic foods could restore health. While in West Palm Beach, she founded a company devoted to making these healing dishes tasty and easy to prepare. Because of her students persistence, she compiled these recipes in a book, Transitioning to Living Cuisine. Her trust in the healing ability of raw food has helped her escape the clutches of a merciless disease and recognize each day as a very special gift. René teaches nutrition and cooking classes at Nutrition SMart Organic Supermarket, in South Florida schools, in her home and in her students homes. She is ready to help you on your journey to optimum wellness. René believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience maximum health in their lifetime.
Allan Oswald
Allan is an Advanced Practitioner of Health through Nutrition, Exercise, and Education from the Creative Health Institute. Allan survived the assault of the Standard American Diet for 20 years before his body started to rebel. His Air Force doctors told him to take pain medicine for back spasms and they put him on antibiotics for a full year for a skin condition. When a toe joint injury refused to heal, they convinced him that arthritis was in his family and he should consider trading tennis for swimming. With a medicine cabinet full of pain medicine and muscle relaxers Allan was able to stay on the tennis court.
In his thirties Allan started to add chest pain, sinus infections, bursitis of the hip, tinnitus and knee tendonitis to his cant fix list. When he was thirty-five, his older sister Jean was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although she was a Registered Nurse and had access to some of the best medical treatment available, she lost her battle a little over a year later. Allan was depressed, shocked and confused by the loss of his sister and he started reading everything on cancer prevention he could find.
His research kept leading him to the same conclusion. When we provide our bodies with the proper nutrients all systems improve. He started eating more fruits and vegetables and saw his chest, hip, knee, and sinus pain reduced considerably.
Allan was feeling so much better each time he increased the amount of natural foods in his diet. On January 24th, 2004 his wife handed him a book which explained the benefits of a 100% natural diet. He agreed to try the raw food lifestyle for a couple weeks.
Astounded by the energy of this life style, Allan decided to continue and saw some amazing results. He feels so blessed to be living a pain-free life and looks forward to continuing his new career as a tennis instructor.
