Instant Salad Dressing Mixes
These salad dressing mixes are in single serving packages that you can carry with you in your purse or pocket. To prepare, just stir in 1-4 Tbsp. of water, depending on the consistency you prefer. Use less water if you'd like them to be more like a dip. These mixes are great for taking with you to your favorite restaurant when you want to enjoy a healthy, but tasty salad dressing! You can purchase them with or without apple cider vinegar. If you would prefer them without the vinegar, just sprinkle a little extra lemon juice on your salad for the same effect. These mixes are low in salt for the health conscious, if you are new to this lifestyle you may want to add a little more salt or sprinkle on some lemon juice or dulse flakes.

"Better Than Donuts" Cookie Ball Mix

This recipe is the most labor intensive, but oh, so yummy. Takes about 15 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients: Organic Sprouted Sunflower Seeds, Organic Sprouted Buckwheat Groats, Organic Sprouted Sesame Seeds, Organic Coconut, Organic Nutmeg, Organic Vanilla Powder (Vanilla Beans and Buckwheat Groats) and Himalayan Sea Salt.
To prepare: Peel and remove seeds from a small butternut squash. Cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces and process in food processor with S-blade until finely chopped. Transfer squash to a mixing bowl. Combine 4 dates (pitted) and 1/2 cup raisins in food processor with juice from one small orange and process until smooth. Add the dry mix to the date mixture and pulse chop until finely chopped. Stir this mixture into the butternut squash. Form into balls and they are ready to eat. Refrigerate leftovers.

Anise is a member of the Umbelliferae family which also includes fennel, caraway, coriander and dill, to name a few. A seed-like fruit, anise delivers a warm, sweet, licorice-like flavor to sweet and savory dishes alike. It is a great addition to sauerkraut or kimchee and it can be ground to a powder and used in cookie and cracker recipes. You can also chew the seed as a morning breath freshener. It has also been said that anise helps maintain a youthful appearance and prevents nightmares if tucked near the bed!
